It rained on my drive to the shoot. It rained on my drive home from the shoot. But the Battle Ground, Washington skies parted just long enough for stunning portraits of Alex and her five horses.

What kind of girl is blessed enough to have five horses? Only one as beautiful, fun-loving, joyful and sweet as miss Alex.  Some of my very favorite portraits in 2013 were of Alex Barber and her paint gelding Sonnys Gone Zipping aka “Mick” (see those photos here), so I was beside myself when sweet Alex booked ANOTHER session this winter for her new barrel racing mare “Ducky.”

The rest of the crew came in for the last shot: a barrel racer named “J-Woww”, a roping mare named “Sorely”, “Ducky”, “Mick”, and a barrel racing prospect named “Sheldon”
