Brianna Noble and her Appaloosa gelding Dapper Dan made international headlines when they participated in Oakland, California’s protest on May 29th, 2020. I first learned of Brianna’s historic ride when I read her article in Heels Down Magazine, as she was named “The Horsewoman We All Need Right Now”. I was deeply moved and inspired by her efforts to include more young riders in our sport through her program Humble Project at Mulatto Meadows.
In Brianna’s words, “Horses change lives and inspire futures. Humble, a project with the mission of exposing underprivileged and marginalized communities to the horse world, fosters respect, confidence, and accountability for urban youth through equine experiential learning. Our vision is to change the face of equine culture and inspire positive futures through horses.”
You can donate to Humble through Brianna’s GoFundMe page.
