As soon as I purchased my horse Mojo last year, he quickly became the ‘test horse’ for just about every equine product on the market as I was determined to find the very best the industry has to offer!
To start, I went on social media and asked for everyone’s ‘cult classics’ and personal favorite horse items. Then, I got to testing!
Here are a few of the products that quickly rose to the top:
HAAS BRUSHES
I purchased just about every brush this company had to offer and HOLY SMOKES not a single one disappointed! Truthfully, you can start anywhere in their line to test the waters, but the website Eqclusive offers packs of HAAS brushes sorted by horse color that are really neat! This brand has a huge cult following in the English world and it is past time that the Western people were exposed to the greatness.Â
T-SPORT WRAPS
Their website says “the wrap that puts all others to shame” and that is the understatement of the year. These wraps offer maximum compression with high quality fabric and non-latex foam which transfers heat away from the legs.
ECOVET
Ecovet Fly Repellent came with an avid fan base claiming it was the only fly spray that really works. DISCLAIMER: It is impossible to breath when applying this stuff, so I only put it on outside and I typically save it for photo shoots and horse shows! BUT IT WORKS! Ecovet is the first fatty-acid fly repellent for horses, providing an alternative to toxic pesticides.Â
2XCOOL
This Sports Medicine Boot was designed to instantly and continuously draw heat and moisture away. Mojo wears these every time he ropes and I’ve noticed significantly less sweating even in the most extreme Texas heat. They are strong, durable, lightweight, and very breathable.
ESSENTIAL BELL BOOT
This has to be my favorite item on the list, simply because Mojo was pulling shoes WEEKLY and since he started wearing this several months ago, he has NEVER pulled another shoe. Game-changer. Mojo would constantly pull shoes in turnout, lunging, and under saddle. He wears a size Large which touches the ground and prevents clipping his shoes!
COOKIE CUBE
Mojo is a picky treat eater, but these are his favorite. I love them because I can feed them with zero guilt! They are forage-based treats, made with cranberries infused with apple juice and timothy/alfalfa forages. Basically just a flavored mini hay cube!
CONTOURED VENTECH CINCH
I’ve used this contoured cinch for years and love that it is fluffy and soft for comfort, shaped perfectly for full range of motion, and ventilated for breathability.Â
HAALA JEANS
No list of my favorites is complete without a mention of Haala Jeans. These are my FAVORITE jeans to ride in OR to go out in! They are comfortable, form-fitting, and don’t stretch out even with multiple wears or being in the saddle all day. I own the boot cuts, trousers, and skinny jeans. Can’t recommend them highly enough.
AGSILVER CLEANBUCKET
This bucket is infused with ionic silver to control bacteria and eliminate slime. In my experience, fresher water means a higher water intake, which leads to a healthier horse!
REDMOND ROCK
The Redmond Rock Salt is Mojo’s favorite… and I tried them all! It is 100% natural with over 50 trace minerals and mined in Utah. I also love their electrolyte pastes and I use their “real salt” in my own kitchen!
