Prada Marfa

Prada Marfa

If you know me well, you know these images represent a dream I’ve held for about five years.

But I should back up even farther. In high school, my friends and I watched The OC every week (RIP Marissa). When the show ended, Gossip Girl aired to fill the void. Any good GG fan knows the Prada Marfa sign that hangs in Lily’s apartment… referencing the distance to the permanent Prada Marfa art installation in Valentine, Texas. [i have my own replica of that sign hanging in my office].

At the beginning of my photography journey, my obsession with Prada Marfa increased when I saw Gray Malin’s work of the installation. I knew I had to photograph a gorgeous girl with a ranch horse … my own take on the original artists’ juxtaposition of placing a Prada Store in the middle of cattle ranches in West Texas.

With the help of Milana Mia Photography to gather the immaculate working o6 Ranch horses and Rodeo Vogue of Denim and Velvet sourcing me the world’s most beautiful models and western clothing, the vision in my head became a reality. I can’t thank them enough.
